Meet Yammie

Master of Psychology (Clinical)
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (First Class Honours)

Hello!

I'm Yammie, a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) with over 10 years of clinical experience. I have worked with clients and professionals in public service, hospital, and community sectors.

I provide therapy for children, adolescents and adults experiencing a range of psychological conditions and mental health concerns, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, stressful life changes, grief and loss, and relationship issues.

My expertise include abuse and trauma recovery, anger and conduct problems, as well as parenting and family relationship.

In addition, I am passionate to work with high functioning individuals who simply desire to embark on a journey of change and growth, and lead more values-aligned lives.

I can conduct therapy in English and Chinese.

Therapeutic Style

Psychology is a natural and fulfilling career for me. Perceptive and sensitive, I have always enjoyed asking questions and listening deeply to the stories that emerge. I am also a curious person who loves working out jigsaw puzzles. I use these strengths to help you put the pieces of your experiences together in ways that help you gain deeper self-acceptance as well as lead satisfying and values-aligned lives.

My therapeutic style balances insight and change, meaning I help you make sense of your past experiences as well as empower you to use your strengths and newly acquired skills to improve your life now. I prioritise a collaborative and therapeutic relationship as the foundation of this work.

Understanding that every client’s experiences and preferences are unique, I adopt an eclectic approach with techniques from diverse evidence-based psychotherapies, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Triple P (Positive Parenting Programme), to name a few, to customise an appropriate treatment and change plan for you.

We all deserve a compassionate and safe space to learn to embrace ourselves and our lives, despite inner and outer imperfections, as well as build resilience and thrive.
